He was predeceased by: his parents, George Broome and Della Broome; his wife Trudy; his children, Janis Creason and Michael Broome; his granddaughter Amy Creason; and his siblings, Ray Broome (Rita), Carl Broome (Vivian), Merle Featherstone (Marvin) and Rachel Martin (Ray).

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Wright (Ron), Sheila Burdick (Marco Duran) and Trena Mewborn; his grandchildren, Jon, Michael, Amanda, Brian, Tanner and Kacey; his great grandchildren, Tyler and Emma; and his great great grandchildren, Landon and Grace.

A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sun City Center Funeral Home (1851 Rickenbacker Dr, Sun City Center, FL 33573).
