It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John M. Faris of Rotonda West, Florida, born in Belmond, Iowa, who passed away on June 19, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nell Faris and Donald Faris; and his brothers, Jim and Don Faris. He is survived by: his wife Adele Faris; his daughter Jennifer Feece (Jeff); his stepdaughters, Deanne Garcia (Luis) and Lisa Leavitt (Dustin); and his grandchildren, Ileana, Fernando, Sofia, Niomi, Alex, Tyler, Zach and Rachel.

In lieu of flowers or donations to the family and in remembrance for his love for kids, honorary donations in his name may be made to St. Jude's Children's' Hospital.

“John was a special friend and fellow classmate of the 1965 Belmond, Iowa. We shared great memories and experiences in our high school and college years. John is pictured as an usher in my wedding album 53 years ago. I wished there would have been more times we could have seen each other but it was very special to see him at our 50th class reunion 6 years ago. John knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior so I'll see him in glory . He will be missed by many of us!”
