He is survived by: his wife Merle; his children, Marc (Angelika) and Debbie (Brian); his grandchildren, Ryan (Alex), Adam (Julia), Courtney, Ariel and Becca; his great grandchildren, Briley, Skyla and Tobe; and his sister Frances (Allan).

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Friends of the Jewish Chapel at the United States Naval Academy, 326 First Street, Suite 22, Annapolis, MD 21403.
