He was predeceased by: his spouse Hannelore Ingrid Proffitt. He is survived by: his children, Robert D. Proffitt (Susan) and Sandra Proffitt-Marsteller (Floyd); his brother David Proffitt; and his grandchildren, Tara, Nicholas, Brooke, Stephanie and Cristine. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
