He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his parents, J. B. Hattaway and Eva Moody Tedrick; and his brother Michael Hattaway. He is survived by: his son Charles Hattaway (Chuck); his siblings, Jim Hattaway (Peggy), Rita Cain, Wanda Welborn (Tom) and Donna Wojac; his sister-in-law Carolyn Hattaway; and his cousin Dan Hilburn (Cindy). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) in his name would be greatly appreciated.
