He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Holmes and Leora Holmes (Joyce); his son Mark Holmes; and his siblings, Lyleen Foglesong and Harry Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Horton; his siblings, Alvin Holmes and Joanne Raven; his children, Denise Holmes, David Holmes and Jack Holmes (Sherry); and his grandson Christopher Holmes. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
