He was predeceased by: his parents, Kipling Randall Hess, Sr. and Ida Wilhelme Hess; his sisters, Marilyn Cross and Beverly Hess; and his son Kipling Randall Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Anna; his daughters, Beverlyn Patterson (Patrick) of Tampa and Lori Giera (Mark) of Cocoa; his grandchildren, Carol, Brian, Emily, Keith, Anna, Amy and Brandon; and his great grandchildren, Tiernan, Liam, Charlotte, Paisley, Madalynn, Sara, Mackenzie, Rebecca, Luke, Leo, Titus, Kennedy, Ruby, Porter and Caleb.
