He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zielinski and Angeline Zielinski; and his son Joseph Zielinski. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Zielinski; his children, John W. Zielinski (David Long), Judith Savacool, Jane De Berry (Tim), Joan Alewine (Bob), Jacqueline Doss, Jerome Zielinski James (Lynn) and Janice Martin (late Billy); and his siblings, Lorraine Cermak (late Frank), Flo Prather (late Dick) and Bernie Narel (Frank).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Riverview, FL.
