She was predeceased by: her husband Wilburn "Buzz" Sawyer; her daughter Cheryl Mahaffey; and her sisters, Mary Monk and Ruby Crawford. She is survived by: her brother Robert Whittle of Port St. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends.
