We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2024, at the age of 86, Shirley Ilene Welty of Punta Gorda, Florida, born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Krebs (James) and Mildred Krebs; her husband Kenneth Welty; and her siblings, Diane and Jimmy.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Christopher Vargas, Eric Vargas, Christopher Welty and Justin Welty; and her great grandchildren, Riley Welty, Haley Welty, Jeremiah Welty, Hudson Welty, Hazel Vargas, Lucy Vargas and Keegan Welty.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services (2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952).
