He was predeceased by: his parents, Mart Blanton and Hazel Blanton (Risner); his daughter Patricia "Pookie" Hart; and his brothers, Ernie and Carl Branham.
He is survived by: his son Dennis Peters; his grandchildren, Jennifer Champion (Kraig) and Patrick Hart (Rachael); his great grandchildren, Emmett, Austin, Jackson and Annabelle; and his sisters, Kay Boysel (John) and Vonda Swan (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
