He is survived by: his wife Charlotte (Kemp); his children, John Jr. (Jodi) and Michele Vardy; his grandchildren, Johnny Vardy (Marissa), Matthew Szklarz, Amanda Vardy and Paige Brayshaw (Tyler Murray); his brother Michael Vardy of Oriental, NC; his cousins, Jeanne Rosenwald (Bob), Donald Schuerholz (Karen) of Mill Valley, CA. and Barbara Krebs Fergusen; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Trevor, Cameron, Axel, Ace, Robbie, Owen, MacKenzie and Parker.
