It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Audrey Meany Berntsson (Punta Gorda, Florida), who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip R. Meany and Margaret Meany (Petty); and her brothers, Phillip and Don (Hugo). She is survived by: her husband O. Hugo Berntsson; her children, Robert and Sheri; her grandchildren, Robert Berntsson II (Carla) and Susannah Whitsett (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Roman Berntsson, Avery and Henry Oscar Whitsett.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
