He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Lages, Sr. and Elizabeth M. Lages (Trevorah); and his siblings, Joseph W. "Billy" Lages, Jr. and Elizabeth M. Lages-Ashworth. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sonya Lages; his children, Karen Teresa Lages, Donna Marie Lages and John Robert Lages; his daughter-in-law Tabitha Roceille Lages; his grandsons, Marquis Allen Maldonado and Lowgan Robert MacAlvanah; and his pets, Chihuahua Lisa and Shih Tzu Teddy.
He organized food gift card donation drives for the Port St. Lucie Police Foundation to help residents in need and bicycle giveaways for children during the holiday season for several years.
