He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Baran and Frances Baran; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his daughters, Lorraine Finkel (Eric) and Kristina Baran (Joseph); his grandchildren, Melissa Churchill Michelle Fleming (Cliff), Melanie Torres (Michael), Riley and Mia; his great grandchildren, Alivia, Charlotte, Oliver, Jason, Ben, Billie, Lily and Jackson; his sister Carol Bell (Brian); and his sister-in-law Anita F. Baran.
