He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett O'Brien and Mary Elizabeth O'Brien; and his siblings, Willam "Bill" O'Brien and Marie Pare. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn "Katie" O'Brien; his children, Kathy O'Brien-Bain (Eric Bain) of Stafford Springs, CT and Rich O'Brien (Beth) of Davie, FL.; and his grandchildren, Chase, Paige O'Brien, Eian Bain and Taylor Martinsen (Bain).

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Bernadette Catholic Church (350 NW California Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986).
