He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Porter and Lillian Porter; his sister Jo-Marie Gagala (Bruce) of Downers Grove, IL; his nephew Michael Gagala (Laura); his great-nephews, Dylan of Northville, MI and Owen of Northville, MI; his niece Karen Roach (Todd); his great-niece Katie; his great-nephew Andrew of New Lenox, IL; his nephew Matthew Gagala (Nicole); his great-nephew Nathan of Mokena, IL.; his friends, Tomas, Myelin, Angelina and Alen Sobrino; his wife Nora V. Joyce; and his children, Joseph and Chantalle Phillips.
Nick was also an active contributor to the Wounded Warrior Project; in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Nick's honor and name.
