He is survived by: his children, John Cruz Jr., Richard Cruz, Helena Cruz, Carlos Valdes, Christina Valdes and Carmen Cruz; and his siblings, Miguel, Luz Santiago and Rafaella Santana. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
