He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose "Pepito" Santiago and Amelia Santiago; and his siblings, Luis Santiago and Arnaldo Santiago. He is survived by: his wife Maria L. Santiago; his sons, Jose M. Santiago (Nelida) and Gabriel Santiago (Rosa); his grandchildren, Anthony, Sophia, Adrian and Justin; and his sister Rosaura Burgos. He is also survived by nieces and many cousins.
