He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Lamar Grimes and Virginia Veach Grimes; and his brother Jerry Grimes. He is survived by: his son Jason; his daughter-in-law Brittany Grimes; his daughter Vanessa; his son-in-law Shaun Blocker; his siblings, Judy Smith, Carolyn (Ronald Hill), Sue (James Wesson) and Tommy Grimes; and his grandchildren, Brayden Evan Blocker, Paisley Grace Blocker, Bristol Rae Grimes, Willow Reece Grimes and Ridge Alan Grimes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
