He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stapleton and Vashti Stapleton (Harper); his son James Stapleton; his daughter-in-law Amy Stapleton; and his grandson Joseph Button.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Stapleton (Erdmann); and his children, Jon Stapleton (Aimee Gagne), Kathy Button (Bob), Kevin Stapleton (Cindy), Terry Stapleton and Vanessa Frum. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
