She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Wood and Ernest Plante; her daughter Teresa Bates; and her sister Sandra Walton. She is survived by: her husband Arnold Bates; her children, Jennifer Jacobs (John) and Christopher Bates (Stacy); her grandchildren, Michael Lima, Joseph Scallon, Jonathon Contillo, Brendon Bates and Morgan Bates; and her sister Valerie Bresner.
