It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floyd Alexander Carrigan of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, born in Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Glenn Carrigan; his sisters, Aileen Carrigan and Bernice Southard; and his grandsons, Rodney Todd Helsel and David Alexander Manns.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Carrigan; his children, David Manns (Sheila A. Wright) and Kathy Helsel (Rodney T. Helsel); his grandchildren, Joey B. Mauger (Todd Mauger), Zack Helsel (Emily Etkins), Shauna Estep (Scott Estep) and Alanna Lyn Manns (David Watkins); and his great grandchildren, Julien, Nolan, Anna, Sophia and Joey. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elkton High School, 110 James St. Elkton, Md. 21921 in memory of the Todd Helsel Scholarship with Helsel Scholarship written in the memo line.
