It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Roosevelt Saffioti of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, born in New York, New York, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Gennaro "Jerry" Saffioti. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Schiera (Thomas), Annette Jennings (Larry), Nancy Smith (Philip) and Andrew "Drew" Saffioti (Betty); her grandchildren, Edward Schiera, Lisa Ward (Luke), Gerald Schiera (Abby), William Jennings, Alexander Jennings (Joy), Emily Coven (Kyle), Christina Cortez (Armondo), Katherine Kehres (Kristopher), Amanda Berger (Peter), Matthew Saffioti (Stephanie), Andrew Smith (Jennifer), Christian Smith (Kristina) and Nancy Eleanor Gerow (Timothy); her great grandchildren, Cayla, Grace Weakland, Katherine Schiera, Hazel Coven, Oliver, Violet Cortez, Noah, Amelia Kehres, Lucas, Colin, Preston Berger, Ethan, Elliott Saffioti and Sail Smith; her sister Antoinette Bodsford; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Prevost, Fanny Saffioti and Andrew Saffioti (Carol) of Long Island. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yates Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7951 S U. S. Hwy 1, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952). A prayer will be held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church (425 SW Irving St, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the White City Cemetery (3800 Sunrise Blvd, Fort Pierce, FL 34982).
