He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Nielson and Marion Nielson (Steiger); his brother Gary; his daughter Amy; his friends, Gregg Wehmeyer and Marlyce Wehmeyer Jueds; his sister-in-law Marian Nielson; and his nephews, Tim Nielson (Wendy) and Scott Nielson (Lilly).
Memorial donations will be made to the Waupaca Fire Department—where Doug was a proud lifetime member—and Treasure Coast Hospice, which provided both Doug and Sandy and their loved ones with physical, emotional, and spiritual support during their final days.
