He was predeceased by: his parents, Cort Smith and Elsie Smith; his siblings, Ruth Wright, Lewis Smith and Lonnie Smith; and his son Stephen Smith.
He is survived by: his spouse Gerry Smith; his children, Stephanie Reed (James) and Shannon Smith (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Aaron Smith (Tony), Abigail Smith, Anna Williams (Andrew), Ashley Thomas (Andrew), Katie Smith, Kourtney Park (Isaac), Alaina Lang (Jacob), Emily Love (Nathan), Caleb Reed (Ariana), Joshua Reed (Julie), Nicholas Smith (Caitlyn) and Victoria Dixon (Joshua); his stepgranddaughter Margarita España; and his sisters, Wanda Weaver (Jerry) and Kelta Sherman (Brian). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Pastor Denzil R. Smith Memorial Garden Fund.
