He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Pinks Chaney; his daughter Jeannie Griffie (John) of Walton, KY; his grandsons, Charles Camron Griffie and Connor Logan Griffie; his sister Della White (David) of East Bernstadt, KY; and his pet Sweet Pea.
