He is survived by: his wife Kay Shaffner; his children, Rob Shaffner of Woodbury and Amy Shaffner of Abingdon, Maryland.; his grandchildren, Mollie Coats of Nottingham, Cole Shaffner, Evan Shaffner of New Smyrna Beach and Lilly Shaffner of Woodbury, Minnesota.; and his brother Paul Shaffner (Kathleen) of Port Orange, Florida..
