He is survived by: his brother Rick Mathis; his children, Eric, Vance, Robby, Teresa and Rebeca; and his grandchildren, Zenei, Lance, Aria, Lucas and Makai.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany (201 Lafayette St, Port Orange, FL 32127).

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Jude Hospital.
