She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Cook and Raymond T. Cook of Port Orange, FL.. She is survived by: her husband Frederick F. Ellis; her daughters, Denise Aponte (Lex) of Tampa, Suzanne Macklen (Steve) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Paige Courtright of Pawleys Island, SC.; her grandchildren, Alex, Elise, Ethan Johnson, Rachell Stone, Elizabeth, Samantha Macklen, Erin and Tradd Courtright; her great grandchildren, Logan, Cayden, Kendrick, Holden, Banks and Briggs; her brother James R. Cook (Patricia) of Belton, MO; and her nephews, Jason Cook of Blue Springs, MO, Chris Cook (Mindy) of Thornton, CO and Jay Ellis (Margaret) of Lexington, SC..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Hospice and/or the American Lung Association in Joyce's honor.
