He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emory Crooks and Clara Ethel Johns; and his siblings, Ruth and Jim. He is survived by: his wife Laine Crooks; his children, Nicole Nasca (Carlo), Christopher Crooks (Amanda), Cameron Crooks and Natalie Paoletti (Casey); his siblings, John, Mary and Amy; his mother-in-law Pegge Garriques; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Emory, Nicholas, Luca and Sophia. He is also survived by his extended family and a wide community of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please consider a donation to the Rotary Club of Port Orange-South Daytona, http://www.posdrotary.com, or the American Heart Association, http://www.heart.org.
