He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Cann (Heyman) and Rolland Cann. He is survived by: his children, Sheri Lee Cann (Michael), Michael David Cann (Carrie) and Christopher Daniel Cann (Michelle); his wife Patricia O'Hara; and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Courtney, Olivia "Gracie", Paige, Dominic and Calen.
