He was predeceased by: his parents, Gola McCann and Weldon McCann; his brother W. F. McCann; and his former husbands, Dr. Paul F. McCutchen and Oscar Folsom of Daytona Beach.
He is survived by: his husband Nelson May; his daughters, Lynda Hucks (Daniel), Glenda Ashmore (Jack) and Teresa McCutchen; and his grandchildren, Jack Ashmore, Jr. (Mechelle), Kim Fowler Kristen (Johnny), Jean Denslow (Steve) and Stacy Shafer (Troy). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
