She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Niswonger and Irma Virginia Niswonger; and her husband James Ron Gause. She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Heinze (John), Teri Nelson (Bobby Fossum), Chuck Gause and Lynn Atkins (Ted); her grandchildren, Shawn Binsley (Kristina) and Mike Nelson (Jen); and her great grandchildren, Makenzie Baumann (Matt), Mallory Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, Hailey Binsley and Gavin Binsley.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel (2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Cemetery RestLawn Memorial Gardens (1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33949-4696).
In leu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ruth's memory to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., or the Florida Flywheelers Club.
