He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. and Ruth Ashcroft (Folsum); and his son Thomas Ashcroft. He is survived by: his spouse Barbara; his children, Pierette Ashcroft Abeel (Danny) and John "Jay" Ashcroft Jr.; his granddaughter Sabrina Ashcroft; his great grandchild Natalie Myers; and his siblings, Barbara Lampariello, Gary Ashcroft (Bonnie), Judy Rock (Greg), Cheryl Redlark and Vincent Daniele (Larisa). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
