She was predeceased by: her spouse John R. Tompkinson; her parent Heinrich Hammer; her daughter Karen; and her grandchildren, Paul and Robin.

She is survived by: her parent Anna Hammer (Harbord); and her children, Inge Aylesworth (John) of Graham, NC, Debra McCurry (Jim) of Port Charlotte, FL, Rosemarie Nichols of Medfield, MA and Jackie Tompkinson (Gloria) of Hudson, MA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and also many friends.
