He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gibson and Ruby Gibson; his wife Marlene (Ommen); his son Michael Joseph Gibson; and his brothers, Robert Gibson (Buzz) and Irvin Gibson (Bird).
He is survived by: his children, Monica Zabczyk, Roger, Linda McMahon, Brian and Edwin Gibson Jr.; his grandchildren, Keith Gibson, Michaela Zabczyk, Matthew Kurtenbach and Cassandra Hodys (Brian); his great grandchildren, Taylor, Carson, Tyler, Jayda and Olivia; his siblings, Deloris Smith (Pip), Richard Gibson (Dick), Dave Gibson (Mary), Patrica Wood (Calvin), Dixie Matthew (George), Kathy Harper, Russell Ommen (Joyace) and Kenny Ommen (Kara); and his significant other Maryann Haag of DuBois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
