With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn R. Gaver of Ponte Vedra, Florida, born in Shenandoah, Iowa, who passed away on April 16, 2023 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kathryn R. Gaver to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Rydberg and Virginia Read Rydberg; and her brother Lance Rydberg. She is survived by: her friend Lloyd Barling; her brother Glenn; her husband John Gaver; her children, Jeff Gaver (Renee) of Knoxville, Tenn of Ponte Vedra, FL, Heather Mandel (David) of Ponte Vedra, FL and Glenn Gaver (Laura) of Ponte Vedra, FL; her grandchildren, Zachary, Graham, Molly, Evan, Olivia, William, Drew Gaver, Glenn, Anna and Heath Mandel; her brother Tom Rydberg (Marsha) of Tampa; her sister-in-law Kaye Courington of New Orleans; her nieces, Kristen Ayala (Wilson), Nancy Rydberg (Kevin Gibbons) and Kathryn Rydberg; and her nephew Read Rydberg. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Wolfson Children's Hospital, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra or WJCT Public Media.
