It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Henry Horner Jr. of Ponte Vedra, Florida, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Chuck" Sr. Horner and Joan Horner; his former wife Katherine "Kitty" Horner (Hanline); his brother-in-law Rich Kettler; and his uncle James "Jim" Holle.

He is survived by: his significant other Sheila Connor; his children, Dr. Kacey Appel (Bill) of Cincinnati, Dr. Angela Ellard (Norman) of Cincinnati and Charles Horner III of Cincinnati; his grandchildren, Liam Appel, Kate Appel, Veronica Ellard and Violet Ellard; and his siblings, Jonelle Kettler, Tim Horner (Billie Jo), Suzanne Davidoski (Joe) and Steve Horner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts on behalf of Chuck Horner Jr. may be made either The Foundation of Community Hospice and Palliative Care (https://thefoundationcares.org) or Bible Study Fellowship.
