She was predeceased by: her husband William A. Nichols, Jr.; her stepsons, William A. Nichols III and Richard Nichols; her parents, Levi McGregor and Ida McGregor; and her siblings, Doris, Jane and George McGregor.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane DeBow Hammock; her grandchildren, David F. Bew III (Rebecca), Rachael, Amanda, Jocelyn and Laura; her stepdaughters, Diane Prevatt and Susan Walling; and her pet Molly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care or to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
