He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Louise Foster and Hugh Foster, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Monica R. Foster; his children, Julieanna S. M. Foster (Patrick Jr.), Hugh B. Foster Jr., Ranae L. C. Pezak (Tyler) and Raymond G. Foster; his grandchildren, Ezekiel Vega and Elijah Vega; and his sister Susan Leonard (Benny).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the ALS Research Foundation.
