He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde Irving Johnson and Dollie May Riihl; his sons, Douglas Patrick Johnson (Pavlina Tcherneva) and Jason Edward Johnson (Catalina Casanova); his stepdaughters, Mary Olivari Curran and Rosanna Olivari; his brother Cecil Johnson; his wife Loreto Sepulveda; and also Ruby Fisher. He was also cherished by four grandchildren.
