She was predeceased by: her mother Ida Scott Murphy; her stepfather Harvey Murphy of Bridge Creek; her husband Captain Wesley B Evans; and her siblings, Corene Money, Kathleen Farrior and Billy Murphy.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Anne Willis (Fred) of Colombia, SC; and her sons, Mike Balkom (Sandra) of Montgomery, AL and Pete Balkom (Sheila) of Bonifay. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
