He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Green and Carrie Lynn Foster Green; his wife Alice Green; and his brothers, Charles Green, Darrel Green and George Wilmer Green.

He is survived by: his children, Richard E. Green (Grace), James H. Green (Dawn) and Patrica Ann Wilson; and his siblings, Louis Green of West Virginia, Naomi Jean Muller of Washington and Lahoma Chapman of Brooksville, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
