He is survived by: his wife Betty Griggs; his son John Griggs (Amy); his brother Carlos Griggs; and his granddaughters, Jessica Parker (Curtis), Bridgett Griggs (Cody) and Rayanna Griggs. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
