He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Smith and Peter Smith; his daughter Jenny Smith; his grandmother Beytin; his brother-in-law Ken Beytin; and his stepsons, Chad Baertsch and Wade Baertsch.

He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his daughter Nikki Moran (Alex); his sister Missy Keiser (Curtis); his grandchildren, Natalie Smith-Nixon, Nevaeh Torres, Savannah Torres, Nickolas Torres and Bella Torres; his stepdaughter Jody Gehman; his stepgrandchildren, Kailey Trimmer, Eileen Gehman, Cameron Gehman, McKenzie Cruz, Gabriel Cruz, Ruben Cruz, Brianna Collazo, Cassius Collazo, Dannon Docktor, Philip Nay and Victor Moran; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Gunkel (Irene) and Peggy Deboever (Clancy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
