James Hammond Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hammond of Ponce de Leon, Florida, who passed away on February 9, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Lily Mae Hammond; and his brothers, William Thomas Hammond and Robert Leonard Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Locke Hammond; his children, Martha Hammond Galloway (Hilton) of Enterprise and Philip Edward Hammond (Donna); his grandchildren, Tyler Murphy Hammond (Christina), William Garrett Galloway, Sarah Leanne Galloway Dunaway (Tyler) and Emily Helen Galloway Smith (Josh); his great grandchildren, Bryce Cyrial Dunaway, Elyse Leanne Dunaway, Baylor James Hammond, Carter Patrick Dunaway and Sarah Caroline Dunaway; his sister Beverly Hammond Powell; and his friend Jacob Locke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
