He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Tomas Fonseca III (Deborah), Rose Fonseca, Vincent Fonseca (Jenifer), Sarita Kouyoumjian (Derek), Laura Pruett, Maria Luby (Mike) and Marta Fonseca; the mother of his children Emma Fonseca; his grandchildren, Alyssa Pearson, Tomas Fonseca IV, Rachel Dugan, Nicole Kamen, Paige Lucas, Xevi Graham, Carmen Graham, Jackson Graham, Owen Luby, Miles Luby, Francis Luby and Patrick Luby; and his great grandchildren, Daniel Pearson, Emma Pearson, Roger Pearson, Charlotte Dugan, Nathaniel Dugan and Drue Kamen.

He was recognized in 2022 for his contributions to Venezuelan golf.
