He is survived by: his wife Rosa Gillyard; his daughters, Taniqua Freese and Shermeka Blatche; his son-in-law Matthew Freese; his grandchild Laila Adoree Downer; and his siblings, Walter Evans (Grace), Roy Gillyard (Carol), Samuel Lee Gillyard and Helen Gillyard Jenkins Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
