She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schnoebelen and Mary Schnoebelen (Heitzman); her husband Wayne Kempf; her grandson Richard Kempf; and her siblings, Zelma Burr, Alvin Schnoeblen, Coletta Stachar, Herb Schnoeblen, Dorothy Johnson and Vern Schnoeblen.
She is survived by: her sons, Nicholas "Nick" Kempf (Sue) of Iowa City and Joseph "Joe" Kempf (Renee) of Pompano Beach, Florida; her great grandchildren, Wayne Kempf (Kari), Colin, Kaia of Swisher, Iowa, Kathie Grider (Joe), Cole, Mitchell, Nathan of Ankeny, Iowa, Karen Hanes (Mike), Dean, John and Shay of Iowa City, Iowa.; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jessica Dugan (Ryan), Beatrice, Gwendolyn of Reno, Nevada, Katie Hayes (Bruce Walker), Wyatt of St. Charles, Illinois, Holly Hayes (Tyler Thompson), Wilder, Legend and Sterling of Burnt Ranch, California; and her sisters, Fran Self and Anita Mehaffey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Regina Foundation or St. Joseph Cemetery.
